10. BALANCE
Have balance in your life. Think of the different parts of your life: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual as spokes of a wheel. When the spokes are of different lengths, you get a bumpy ride. When all the spokes are of the same length, you get a nice, smooth easy ride.

9. SIMPLIFY! SIMPLIFY! SIMPLIFY!
Make your life easy by making it simple. Get rid of all excess baggage. If you haven't used something in two years, give it away to Goodwill or Salvation Army or your local shelter. Their needs are great. It's a win/win situation - you have less to clean or store and you are helping those in need. Get rid of toxic people in your life. Surround yourself with positive people, people who add something to your life, not those who drain you and drag you down.

8. VOLUNTEER
Find a cause that touches your heart and support it with your time, money and energy. Winston Churchill said: "You make a living from what you get, but you make a life from what you give." When you volunteer you get more out of it than you put in. You meet the nicest people when you volunteer - nasty folks don't volunteer! You gain new skills. As the ad says: "Just do it!"

7. HAVE SOME QUIET TIME FOR YOURSELF EVERY DAY
It doesn't matter what you do as long as you are not disturbed. Take some deep breaths, pray, meditate, visualize, listen to your favourite music, chant or just observe something beautiful. If you feel that you don't have time, think about the following: Your body is like a car. If you don't stop for fuel, eventually both you and car will run out of gas. Time for yourself is the fuel that you need to keep going.

6. EAT A VARIED AND BALANCED DIET
Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Eat less or cut out animal products, coffee, soft drink, sweets. Eat less of the "5 whites" - white flour, white rice, sugar, salt and milk. Drink 8 glasses of purified or spring water every day.

5. EXERCISE
Do anything as long as it gets you moving and you enjoy doing it. You don't have to buy expensive equipment or join a health club. Some suggestions: dancing, gardening, housework, making love, swimming or walking briskly.

4. GET PLENTY OF REST
Rest is essential for your physical, mental and emotional well being. This is when cells regenerate and repair the damages of stress and strain of every day living.

3. DON'T MAJOR IN MINOR THINGS
In other words, don't sweat the small stuff. Concentrate on the important things in your life. Nurture your relationships with family and friends. Attend to your physical, mental and emotional well-being.

2. LAUGH MORE
There is a Japanese proverb: "Time spent laughing is time spent with the gods." Laughter has wonderful medicinal properties. You will live longer and have more fun along the way. Have a belly laugh every day.

1. FOLLOW YOUR BLISS
Find out what makes you happy and do more of it.
Do less of what makes you unhappy. It's your life. Enjoy it!
